Romi - KahunaBodywork
Basic training

"Learn the Hawaiian art of massage and movement in a body-centered & experiential self-awareness process!"

Whether for professional application or personal development, this training promotes such essential qualities as.

Flexibility * Serenity * Stability * Intuition * Creativity * Self-awareness

The main methods that support the participants in learning and deepening the traditional Kahuna bodywork are

Flying, Feldenkrais, Qi Gong, Meditation and Huna

One focus of the Munich Basic Training in RKB is the so-called Flying – the basis of Hawaiian bodywork. Coming from the training of Polynesian navigators, it teaches coordination, endurance and flow – all important components for a successful Romi performance!

Traditionally, there is no training to be a healer in Hawaiian culture – there are trainings to understand oneself in the depth of one’s being – physically, mentally and emotionally. The “better” we know each other, the more clarified we are, the “better” we can recognize and apply the “right” therapy (e.g. depth, speed and intensity of strokes) for the client.

Thus, the training in Romi – KahunaBodywork at the Institute Hawaii is for people who want to know and understand themselves in the depth of their being. From this foundation, you can then successfully make RKB your profession. Ultimately, it’s about identifying and transforming ineffective patterns of behavior, thinking, and body image.

Everybody is welcome – from Lomi beginners to Romi professionals!
